Cue lists

The cue list helps you change LiveProfessor settings during a performance.

A cue list is made up of cues containing one or more "actions".
Examples of actions are recalling a plugin snapshot, changing the patch, changing project tempo, recalling a workspace etc.

When a cue is fired all actions in that cue are executed.
Each action in a cue has a pre and post wait time. The wait time delays the action in relation to the others. these times are changed by clicking the clock symbol on the action
Some actions also have a fade time (change by clicking on the green triangle)
As you might expect, when a action, like a snapshot recall, has a fade time the values of the snapshot are faded in and not instantly set.

Example cue list

So here is what you need to know to get started with cue lists

Go to the 'perform' menu and select 'Add new cue list' (alt+ctrl+n).
A new empty cue list pops up.

At the top of the cue list is a tool palette. Drag these tools on to the cue list to create new cues/actions.

CuelistTools

You can also drag snapshots directly to the cue list from the list of snapshots in the plugin's window.

If a tool is not dropped on a existing cue a new cue is automatically created. if you double click on a cue it fires, and the next cue gets green indicating it is the next cue to run.

Add global cue
The 'Add global cue' - tool is special.
All the other tools insert only one action, but the global tool inserts a list of actions, and it can create snapshots automatically.

When you drop the global cue tool on the cue list a editor appears:

Select the plugins you want to include in the new cue, use shift or ctrl to select more then one.
On the right are some check boxes of what actions to add. If you check the 'Create new snapshots' box, a new snapshot will be created on the selected plugins with the current settings.

Clicking OK brings up a dialog box where you can name the new cue. this will also be the name of the new snapshots.

You now have a new cue in the cue list containing actions for all the plugins you selected.

Controlling the cue list

Double clicking on a cue or action fires it.
Clicking the Go next button fires the next cue (green color)
The cue list can also be controlled via MIDI and via keyboard shortcuts.
To do this you have to arm the list by clicking the 'Arm list' button.
Set up the MIDI control in the MIDI map window. remember that it might be a good idea to set up the midi control in all controller layers
